Butch: Before and After Color Grading Breakdown
This is a breakdown of my color grading process for the documentary Butch: Legend of Langston. This was a wonderful film and story to grade. The approach was to make the film just as vibrant and magical as Butch is. The film was shot on Blackmagic Ursa 4.6K. The film was graded in DaVinci Resolve.
Easily the most recognizable character of Langston University for over 50 years, Butch is loved by all and known by none. Set in the nation’s westernmost HBCU (historically black college or university), Butch: Legend of Langston explores the many myths, stories, and legends of a man who has lived on campus since 1963.

Nosh: Bite Size Adventures – Trailer
Preteens Alex and Taylor are the hosts of Nosh, a kids’ cooking show that focuses on one popular dish per episode. With the assistance of their bumbling yet well-meaning young producer, Reese, and occasional guest chefs, the hosts show kids at home how to cook simple, delicious recipes, from spaghetti to chicken pot pie to pizza. In each episode, the hosts delve deeper into the history behind their favorite foods. Through the magic of time travel, they teleport through time and space to better understand the origins of the recipes they’re creating.
